Went there for my mother’s birthday today and hands down one of the best Thai food I have ever tried, staff so polite, and cocktails were simply on another level. Good ambiance and incredible hospitality. Definitely coming back.
We dined as a group of six with a reservation at this cozy, contemporary restaurant. While the space isn’t very large and an extra table had to be added to accommodate us—which felt a little tight—it didn’t take away from the overall experience. The setting was clean and modern, creating a pleasant atmosphere for our evening. Service was a bit slower than expected, possibly due to a newer team member, but the staff remained friendly and attentive throughout. The appetizers were a highlight—both the calamari and spring rolls were well received by everyone at the table. I ordered the Whole Lobster Pineapple Fried Rice, which was flavorful and nicely presented. The lobster itself was slightly smaller than anticipated, but still very enjoyable. The rest of the group was equally pleased with their meals, and the cocktails stood out as creative and delicious. Overall, it was a positive experience, and we’re looking forward to returning to explore more of the menu.
I recently dined at Chiang Mai, and it was a fantastic experience! The ambiance is warm and inviting, adorned with beautiful Thai decor. The service was exceptional—our server was friendly and attentive, offering great recommendations. The food was the highlight. We started with calamari and flavorful Wagyu Khao Soi Dumplings . For the main course, the Pad Thai was perfectly balanced, and the Duck Panang and Chicken Pineapple Fried Rice was rich and aromatic. We ended with delightful mango sticky rice, which was a perfect finish. Overall, Chiang Mai offers delicious food, excellent service, and a cozy atmosphere. It’s a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Thai cuisine!
Excellent food. I’ve had so many dishes from here and they’ve all been excellent. I’ve had the green curry, the khao soi, both soups, the fish, and the lobster Benedict brunch dish. Incredible food. Excellent quality and full of flavour in all of them. I want to try everything on their menu - it’s that delicious. Highly recommend this place.
I went at 330pm for a super late lunch as I was walking to get gelato and honestly, I am so glad I stopped even though I had to bring my gelato home because I was so full. Really great service, I was the only customer eating in restaurant and they had a great balance of checking in/making sure my water was full without making me feel watched/rushed. I had the shrimp rolls (delicious) a mocktail (pretty and delicious) and yhe pad thai (great serving size and delicious). The restaurant itself is super cute, definitely one to add for a date night or girls night out.
Amazing food, beautiful decor, excellent service. I was disappointed this location did not have the Islamic noodles on the menu, so I ended up taking a chance on the malay curry and it was just as delicious! We also had the amazing khao soi which is probably the best in the city. My other favourite items were their wagyu dumplings and calamari which are must try appetizers. Thank you to Suzan for taking care of a small issue we had. I only wish the music was not as loud in there. Will definitely be back!
Can’t speak highly enough about Chiang Mai. Delicious food and beautiful presentation, excellent service and the decor/aesthetic is lovely and relaxing while still remaining modern. I’ve been twice to this location and really enjoyed all their food - I’ve had the chicken pineapple rice, pad Thai, lobster pad Thai, duck panang curry, shrimp curry, mango sticky rice, waygu khao soi dumplings and khao soi. All delicious and can’t wait to try the rest of their menu. The only feedback I would have is that the vegetables in the duck curry felt like pre-packaged vegetables and there was a missing depth to the flavour. Given the actual curry is delicious and the duck was a unique twist, I’m not docking any points from the review.
Chiang Mai Junction had a nice atmosphere overall, though the ambience felt a little cramped at times. Still, it was comfortable and enjoyable enough for a good dining experience. The food was definitely the highlight — everything tasted fresh and flavorful. I personally would have liked a bit more spice to make it feel even more authentic, but the dishes were still excellent overall. The standout for me was the pineapple fried rice, which was amazing and beautifully served in half of an actual pineapple. The drink was good too but a bit expensive. One small downside was that the glassware smelled a little weird, which slightly affected the experience. However, since we were visiting from Ottawa, where it’s harder to find Thai food of this quality, we still really enjoyed the meal overall and had a good experience.
