Holy crap! I wasn't expecting to be this satisfied with Mexican food! The restaurant itself is just wild; the vibe is lively and crazy. No reason to stare at your phone when so much was put into creating this atmosphere. The food was delicious, fresh, hot and filling. The horchata was excellent and surprisingly sold at a reasonable price. I know I'll be here again!
Another good eat! El Mero Mero Taqueria 12223 156 Street NW, Edmonton We went on a Wednesday; the special was $44 taco platter- you get 10 and get to choose 5 different kinds if you want. Very delicious!!! I dont remember the other specials, sorry! We had tasty Mexican hot chocolate and their beautifullllllllll tres leché cake. Lovely atmosphere and staff. I will be back! We came at 7pm, they close at 8 on Wednesdays and the staff were still so kind and polite and the food was awesome. Thank you so, so much!!!
Wonderful food. Wonderful atmosphere. Wonderful service. I had the Chilaquiles dish and it was very tasty. But the star of the show was the homemade Horchata! Damn that was good. It is definitely worth the $4
We visited El Meromero last night for a girls’ night out. The food was average overall, but their homemade chips were definitely the highlight. The margaritas were good, although the lime one tasted a bit like a bottled premix. The biggest drawback was the service it took a long time to get our drinks each time we ordered. When it came time to pay, the tip screen started at 18% with no option to enter a custom amount unless you selected “no tip,” which felt a little uncomfortable. Overall, a decent experience, but the slow service and restricted tipping options took away from it.
Work in the area and came to order some takeout. The vibe is great and the food was pretty good too. Just ordered some tacos to go. Prices are fairly high in my opinion. 3 tacos with a $2 tip for takeout came to just under $25.
Birria tacos were ! We also enjoyed the camaron (shrimp) and carnitas (pork). Unfortunately one of the carnitas had quite a bit of fat in it. Didn’t deduct a star because maybe it was a one off? Horchata and churros were delicious. Our server Karen was lovely. We’ll be back!
Food is delicious, just like their food truck. Having fresh churros was the best. They didn’t get 5 stars only because the servers weren’t very attentive and I had to get their attention when we were ready to order and ready to pay. We had the cod tacos and shrimp tacos and they were amazing!
