Speechless. Food and service was beyond expectations. Rosaura was our waitress and she was professional and sweet. Absolutely recommend this place.
Overall it was ok and I'll probably be back in some other visit to Mexico City. I enjoyed the black Mole with plantain On the other hand my hubby wasn't fully satisfied with his dish for the lack of balance on the amount of ingredients, too many undercooked beans because they were semi-hard, just a sprinkle of chorizo and just two over-easy eggs, the sauce was tasty. My friend had the omelette with huitlacoche (which is the mushroom/fungi that grows in the corn) and she said it lack some flavor The day we visited was pretty empty, and even though we appreciate the attentiveness of the staff being just there standing some steps away from our table, can make one feel a bit uncomfortable. Cafe de la Olla was good! Same with the orange juice and fresh fruit , both really fresh!
First time here and just loved it! Food was great, house mezcal was tasty and Miguel M. was amazing and took great care of us. Definitely will be back!
Excellent service and atmosphere. In the case of the food, I tried the tacos campestres because they were described as a combination of huitlacoche, flor de calabaza and corn, but the corn was easily an 90 % of the mix. The main courses for me and my wife were the tasajo and pollo en mole negro. There is a subtle difference between the oaxacan tasajo and cesina from Morelos. I would say that the tasajo i tried was actually cesina. An my pollo en mole was quite a small pollo and very little mole. Both enjoyable but really small portions.
Excellent service! Guadalupe and Omar were wonderful, great recommendations. The Tlayuda Oaxaquena is a must! Also love the mezcal drinks and Haba soup. Will definitely come again.
Highly recommend this place! The food and cocktails are delicious. We got the Esquites, alcachofa, and tortitas de plátano as appetizers.
