What a hidden gem! We came here for breakfast and it was so good. Chilaquiles with eggs, Plato Norteño and the carrot cake were all excellent. They only offer breakfast and lunch, they close at 1pm. Definitely a must go while you are in the area!

Superb! Authentic Mexican fare at its finest served with justified pride. Here is where you will find the best Chiles Rellenos in Colima State IMO. It is a charming garden setting with cool verdant natural shade. Service is simply excellent. For desayuna or comida, there is no better choice.

Rojo Canela was a great breakfast stop for my mom and me. The hostess greeted us with a warm smile, found us a table right away, and handed us English menus without us even asking. The place has a cozy feel. It looks like a converted patio with a beautiful green garden in the center and just enough music playing to set the mood without drowning out conversation. I ordered the Northern breakfast and made a couple changes. I asked for four eggs and swapped the dried beef for chorizo since they were out that morning. I also added a side of Mexican style potatoes. My mom ordered the cheese and ham omelette with hash browns and a small side salad. The service was fast. Our food came out much quicker than expected, and everything was packed with flavor. The chorizo was seasoned perfectly, the eggs were cooked right, and the "Mexican Style" potatoes I ordered as a side were delicious. My mom’s omelette looked great and she really enjoyed it. All of the staff were friendly and seemed happy to be there, which made the whole visit feel relaxed. The presentation was clean and simple, and the quick service made it an easy stop without feeling rushed. We were in and out in about forty five minutes. Rojo Canela is a charming spot with great food, fast service, and a peaceful garden atmosphere.
