a delightful little cafe on SW corner of Sumach and Shuter streets, with minimalistic yet beautiful interior. espresso bar offers a variety of drinks (lattes, americanos, etc) - there are also breakfast pastries, cookies and sandwiches and some cold bottled drinks. wifi for customers, tall chairs/tables along windows facing north and east, and a couple of regular tables for those wishing to stay a bit longer to enjoy the cosy atmosphere. some super cute handmade merch, and little free treats for your pooch if you step in during your morning or afternoon walk - the place is definitely dog friendly. very popular with the local community, I highly recommend it!

An adorable neighborhood café that serves really good coffee. It has that cozy, familiar vibe—like a real-life Cheers, where the locals come daily and everyone knows your name. It’s the kind of place that feels like part of the community. There’s also a great outdoor patio, perfect for enjoying your coffee when the weather warms up. A true hidden gem with lots of charm.

The point of sale apparatus has been teetering on these glasses for as long as I can remember. Get a modern machine and mount it properly to enhance the customer experience. Also recommend AMEX. We all tend to spend more. Difference i. Rates is not what it used to be.

I don't give fives easily but I had to work last minute as I was out running errands and someone recommended this cafe and it was excellent. The atmosphere. The food. The drip coffee. Not loud. Just enough background music for me to work to. I really loved the experience. The two people working were so lovely to every person who came in....and this was hours of serving people. They were friendly. 5 stars isn't doing this review justice. People who live nearby are blessed to have this place.

I've walked past Sumach Coffee countless times, always promising myself I'd stop in, and I'm so glad I finally did. This spot is everything you want in a local coffee shop—it truly is a lovely neighbourhood gem. The atmosphere is immediately relaxed and inviting, making it a solid contender if you're looking for a spot to settle in and work for a few hours. There are great seating options, whether you prefer the casual indoor vibe, the fresh air of the outside patio, or the unique spots provided by their street-side parkette. The coffee itself was excellent. I ordered an Americano, and it was perfectly pulled—a great start to the day. To go with it, I tried one of their savory pastries, and it was exactly the perfect, delicious bite to complement the drink. If you're looking for quality coffee, and a great place to sit back and watch the world go by, Sumach Coffee should be your next stop.

A quiet and unassuming spot on Sumach/Regent Park area. Just the place you need for a morning coffee or brunch. I had the cheddar scone which was good, hot chocolate which was yum and a falafel wrap which could be better but that's the only thing they had in vegetarian food options. Will go again to try other things and to just chill and soak in the vibe
