Went for dinner while in Saltillo on business. Definitely an upscale restaurant, and not one that I would normally choose. The spaghetti carbonera was delicious.....even better than I had anticipated. Yes, the prices are somewhat high, but it was worth it, and I would definitely recommend/return.

On the last day of a business trip, after suffering mediocre to downright nasty local food, I decided to check out the lively Il Mercato next door, and selected Terrazza Romana on the third floor. I had a hankering for salad and pasta, and selected Insalata Ananda and Plumas Bolognese. I ate the pasta first, saving the savory salad for a healthy dessert. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente; the sauce was a thin tomato base with just enough ground meat to add flavor and mouth feel without a trace of greasiness. The salad was sweet, with fresh romaine, halved cherry tomatoes that were juicey and sweet, paper thin slices of apricot that somehow managed to remain moist and sweet, sliced almonds, and moist mozzarella morsels.

Good food, and menu is well stocked with options. Patio is nice but potential view is blocked by the tree next to building. Service is quick with a half packed house. Pasta can be a hit and miss tho, Also if you are a heaver person you may have trouble with the chairs.

I recently visited Terrazza Romana in Saltillo and overall had a very pleasant experience. Here’s a breakdown of my visit: Ambience: The atmosphere is truly superb. It’s located in the Il Mercato complex, and the terrace setting provides a wonderful, upscale vibe that is perfect for a nice dinner. Food: I tried the Italian pizza and it was quite good—authentic flavors with a great crust. A big plus is the variety of spicy add-ons they provide. It really allows you to customize the heat and flavor to your exact preference, which I loved. Staff: The service was decent. The team was professional and handled our table well throughout the meal. Navigation & Parking: Just a heads-up for first-timers—the entry is a bit confusing. You have to navigate a specific lift to get to the restaurant, which wasn't immediately obvious. Also, while there is parking available, it is located somewhat far away from the actual entrance, so be prepared for a short walk. Verdict: Definitely worth it for the food and the beautiful setting! Just give yourself an extra five minutes to figure out the elevator and the parking situation.

Wonderful meal! Had pesto on linguini (tagliatelle) with shrimp! My husband had an amazing lasagne:) nice atmosphere and service as well :) I highly recommend this place :) we had lots of cocktails and wine and dessert with espresso - yum! Excluding drinks we spent close to 500$ per person - so worth it!
