Octopus balls: 5/5 very delicious! The steam bun: 3.5/5 pork only slightly moist so with the bread it really needed some sauce. Italian soda with lychee: 5/5! Very delicious Overall: 4.25/5
Uma uma is one of the best restaurants I ever been. The decoration is amazing with incredible aesthetics. The walls are painted with bright colors and neon lights that surrounds japanese pop images. The food is presented neatly in cool plates and bowls. The taste is amazing as well. Overall, this restaurant is very well rounded, the staff has a cool uniform, which is denim shirts with Japanese characters on the back. I recommend the won ton entrees and the kakuni ramen.
I haven’t tried many dishes but ramen was okay, for some reason in Gdl ramens are a bit different from the authentic versions, maybe it’s hard for restaurants to get the right noodles and ingredients which I could understand, also we had to ask three times for our drinks
I’ve tried a few ramen restaurants in Guadalajara, and Uma Uma is definitely the most authentic of the all. A tiny cafe/restaurant but the menu is very extensive. The portions are big and great value for money. It was quite busy when I visited but only waited 10 minutes and service was efficient. I would highly recommend Uma Uma over some fancier looking Japanese restaurants for the authentic flavours, portions and value for money.
Another ramen views! I did nearly 50+ around the world We ordered Kakuni Ramen, this is a surprised! Meat! Meat is well flavoured and prepared, full of flav and soft, they gave me two piece of meat which is thick and juicy! This prob the best meat I found in ramen in Guadalajara! Broth, well served! You can taste how rich the flav is here, which mean a lot of work they put in it! Egg, it’s well favoured, love it. Noodles, I’m not sure if it’s home made but at this point, this is nearly a perfect ramen! And I would totally come back and recommend friends for this!
