The food was incredibly delicious and tasty. They were pretty generous with the meat portions as well. The only problem was I wish that it was more clean and hygienic. I did request for a takeout box and they gave me a dirty box. I ended up having to clean it myself .

Had the South Indian banana leaf buffet at Amma Kitchen and it was outstanding! The food was absolutely extraordinary—authentic flavors, a great variety of dishes, and everything was fresh and delicious. The banana leaf dining experience made it even more special. The service was excellent as well; the staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic South Indian cuisine. Will definitely be back!

We tried the fish lunch meal and the goat lunch meal. The food came out quickly, and both meals were very tasty. We also had the mango lassi and chai, which were both very nice. The service was very friendly, and the prices were affordable. We can't wait to come back and try their unlimited bananaleaf meal!

The Ultimate Sunday Banana Leaf Feast! If you are looking for an authentic, "Kumbakarna-style" meal/saapaadu to end the winter, Amma’s Kitchen is the place. They run a Sunday batch system for their famous banana leaf service, and I cannot recommend the Non-Veg meal enough. The variety is incredible. From starters like crisp Onion Pakoras, Medhu Vada, and Chicken 65 to the main course, every element was spot on. We were served: Dindigul-style Biryani: Made with traditional Seeraga Samba short-grain rice—perfectly flavorful with just the right spice kick. Mutton Chukka: Incredibly soft, tender, and packed a serious punch. Fish Fry: A true standout. Usually, fish fry dries out, but this remained moist and flaky throughout. There is actually even more to the meal (white rice, sambar, and various veggies) that we didn’t even have the space to venture into! Often with such a massive spread, you expect a few "misses," but every single dish here was high-quality and delicious enough to be ordered on its own. I am still dreaming about this meal two days later. Pro Tip: It’s a batch system on Sundays and is packed, so book your table in advance.. It is absolute bliss and a must-visit for any Tamil food lover.

Amma’s Kitchen, tucked away at 18 Four Seasons Place in Etobicoke, is a hidden gem celebrated for its authentic South Indian and Tamil Nadu homestyle cooking. Known for its welcoming atmosphere, this restaurant operates with a community-focused mission, offering exceptionally affordable pricing alongside high-quality dishes. While the weekday menu features à la carte favorites like crispy dosas and flavorful mutton sukka, the true highlight is the weekend unlimited banana leaf thali. Packed with traditional curries, biryani, and payasam, this all-you-can-eat experience draws large crowds, making advance reservations highly recommended to secure a table.

Great place for authentic and reasonably priced food. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Even though we exceed the time limit of 1 hour, they were kind enough to let us finish our meals as that batch wasn’t filled up and there were plenty of seats, they never hurried us or made us feel unwelcome. They are attentive and cheerful. The food is yummy hence the lack of pictures. They have a variety of options for vegetarian and non vegetarian meals. I took the non veg meal which consisted of chicken fry, fish fry, pakoda, mutton curry, parathas, papad, rice and biryani. The mutton curry and biryani were really fulfilling. The veg meal had a few other options like the spinach curries etc. This is a must try this place!
