Beautiful brunch spot with food that tastes as good as it looks. The pastries were perfectly flaky and buttery with amazing texture, and the sandwich combination was rich, balanced, and incredibly satisfying. The smoked salmon toast felt fresh and light, while the pastries were definitely the stars of the meal. Great coffee, relaxed atmosphere, and attention to detail in both presentation and flavor. Definitely one of those places you want to come back to.

We walked by and saw a long queue, which convinced us to give it a try. As a matcha lover, I was impressed by the quality of the matcha and the delicious pastries. It’s easy to see why this cafe is so popular. If I have the chance to visit Vancouver again, I’ll definitely be back!

Nemesis is fantastic, food always hits. Got the bodega sando which is a classic egg sandwich, has a nice sauce and is well balanced. The green hash was seasonal and fresh and light. Their pastries are fantastic, the queen and the pull apart is a staple for a reason. Their seasonal danishes and croissants rarely miss. The Gastown location is small and cute. Unfortunately the line is typically long and slow to order. We’d love a takeout window or a second line at the till for when you want to grab a pastry and go. Food is great, prices are creeping up, still love to stop here every once in a while.

We loved this spot! The pastries were excellent, as were the unique tea lattes. Definitely the highlight was the very special bean selection that made some killer drinks! Especially liked that you were assigned seating after ordering—it meant we didn’t have to stress about securing a table. Friendly staff, good music, great vibes. Will definitely return next time we are in Gastown

I had an amazing experience at Nemesis Coffee. From the moment I walked in, the space felt stylish, vibrant, and thoughtfully designed — the kind of café where you want to slow down and truly enjoy your coffee. The Hojicha Kirishima was beautifully balanced — smooth, toasty, and nutty with a gentle sweetness that made it incredibly comforting. It had depth without being overpowering, and you can tell they use high-quality tea and prepare it with precision. I also tried the Jhon Alvarado Abarca, and it was exceptional. Bright, complex, and layered with vibrant acidity and delicate sweetness, it really showcased the unique character of the beans. Every sip felt clean and expressive, highlighting Nemesis’ commitment to sourcing and brewing excellence. Between the thoughtful drink program, skilled baristas, and stylish atmosphere, Nemesis continues to be one of my absolute favorite coffee spots in Vancouver. Always a five-star experience.

The French toast was amazing. The sourdough was moist and chewy, and the combination of jam, matcha cream, and crumble worked so well together. It felt more like having a dessert cake than a typical French toast in a good way. My friend and I went around 11 a.m. on a Sunday. There was a line to order, but we had no trouble finding seats for two, and there were still a few empty tables inside.

Great place with amazing pastries, coffee, and brunch options. We tried the avocado toast, and it was unlike the usual versions you find elsewhere. The walnut topping added a really nice crunch and made the dish stand out. The chocolate orange suisse was something I had never tried before. The rich chocolate paired beautifully with the candied orange, and the flavor combination was perfect. The croissant itself had very intricate lamination, which made it even more impressive. The coffee and matcha were great as well. For plant based milk alternative they only have oat milk (No almond milk or soy milk).

Nemesis is a truly excellent café. I visited with my family, and the place was quite busy. We arrived about an hour before closing, so many of the pastries and desserts were already sold out. That said, everything we ordered was outstanding. The pour over (V60) was well balanced with clear, defined notes. The pastries/deserets I had was also impressive, not overly sweet, and without that heavy, doughy taste. Would I go back if I had the chance..? Absolutely.
