Went here for dinner and it was lovely! Arugula and fennel salad was delicious and a much larger portion than I would have expected! Pasta was absolutely incredible, a perfect al dente and an excellent portion where you don't feel overstuffed, but you're not hungry after either. The olive oil cake is definitely worth all the recommendations, but I was quite a fan of the panna cotta as well! It is a smaller restaurant, so I definitely recommend reserving ahead of time. It can be a little noisy as well because of the smaller dining space, but the quality of the food and the cozy atmosphere more than make up for it.

Great little Italian restaurant. When you walk in you immediately appreciate how small it is and how the kitchen blends right into the dining area. The service was great and the atmosphere didn’t disappoint. Overall, the food was tasty and pasta was cooked to perfection. The drinks are a bit lacking in terms of their cocktail offerings but still good. My boggiest pet peeve is when people go out for dinner and don’t get dressed up, completely ruins the vibe. If you end up stopping by just throw on a nice shirt and pants for me.

Ask for Luigi – Outstanding Italian in Vancouver! Ask for Luigi truly delivers an exceptional Italian dining experience. Everything we tried was delicious — the three pasta dishes we ordered were all standout performers. Each one had its own distinct, well-balanced flavors and perfectly cooked al dente texture that highlighted the fresh ingredients and thoughtful preparation. We visited on a regular Wednesday evening around 6pm and the restaurant was already bustling with a lively crowd. Reservations are highly recommended as it fills up quickly, but we were pleasantly surprised that our wait was only about 10–15 minutes before we were seated comfortably. To finish off the meal, we tried the panna cotta, which was absolutely heavenly — rich, creamy, fragrant, and full of delicate sweetness. It was the perfect ending to a wonderful dinner. The ambiance is warm and welcoming, the service is attentive, and the overall quality makes this a must-visit spot for Italian food lovers. Highly recommend making a reservation and treating yourself to their fantastic pastas and desserts!

This place was recommended by a friend so we made brunch reservations on a weekend. The place itself is quite small and in a somewhat seedy area. The food itself is quite good and it seems like the pasta is made fresh. The portions are surprisingly filling given their size and the flavors are amazing. The coffee didn't have prices so I was hesitant to order an espresso. The place can get quite loud so no quiet conversations allowed!

Had the loveliest experience at Ask for Luigi. I started with a couple glasses of wine, their gorgonzola salad, and their gluten free pasta dish, which was honestly one of the best pastas I’ve ever had. Apparently they make the gf pasta in-house and it was incredible. Finished everything off with the olive oil cake and a flat white. As amazing as the food was, the service was what really stood out to me. My server, Holly (if I’m remembering correctly), was BEYOND thoughtful. She knew I was visiting from out of town and took the time to write down restaurant recommendations, wine spots to try and made the whole experience feel so personal!! It genuinely felt like something out of The Bear!!! They were also extremely careful with my gluten allergy which I appreciated so much. Incredible food, impeccable service and one of those places you keep talking about long after you leave. I’ve been raving about it ever since and will definitely go back

Definitely lives up to its hype!! I came here with high expectations and was not disappointed! Delicious pasta and banana bread. The olive oil cake was ok, it’s on the heavier side and not my taste. Excellent service, attentive and friendly despite being busy and not overly pushy. It’s always been hard to get reservations, but they told me they also accept walk-ins and the best time is their opening time. I ordered the pasta on the cast iron, it’s on the heavier side but very filling. Since it’s cheesy, you can get sick of it very soon, but the taste was good. I personally liked more their truffle pasta, it’s very flavorful and not as heavy. Highly recommended! Definitely the best Italian restaurant I have tried so far.

An amazing dining experience. This place is so small and seems to be always packed, luckily we reserved our table, a bit disappointed that it’s so close to the washroom. The waiter was so friendly, he patiently walked us through the menu. We had some amazing dishes based on his recommendation. They knew it was my birthday but they didn’t offer anything, not even a candle on my dessert which was quite disappointing. I would love to come back to try the lunch menu next time.
