Been here a couple times, it’s basically a fancier but more expensive Dogwood. The beer prices are great and their specials are solid. The food is quite expensive but a varied selection. The environment is excellent with a cool interior and solid patio. I’ll be visiting often but ya having some more affordable food options would be appreciated. The service has been excellent and friendly. Definitely enjoy the experience here.
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm is all I can say. Looks like there's some yummy new deliciousness added to the menu and it'd amazing. Got the smoked meat sandwich and wow is all I can say it was juicy and just amazing. Can't wait to try the other new additions and definitely can't wait for the golf season to get fired up because this would be the number one place after a round. Go to place first sure
Noisy ++ place it was very hard to have a conversation with large crowd due to Baseball playoff game. Service was okay was busy the evening we were there. Server didn't return often to check in. Food was okay. Beef dip sandwich lacking in flavor did have lots of meat but not moist or flavorful. As one that orders this a lot compared to others I'd rank it about a 5 out of 10 for flavor. Parking was a little challenging. Nothing close by. Not enough accessible parking.
Love this local pub. Always amazing food well worth the value. My wife and I went for the seafood boil! Great fun night for valentine's day. Their wings are the best! (We brought our own bibs, but they supply them for the boil)
The atmosphere is welcoming, inviting, and has a sophisticated sense with decor to match. The beer, wine, and cocktail selection is varied and tempting. The gyozas are delectable and memorable (we ordered 2 sides of gyozas). The service is attentive and well-timed. Only minor issue, we would have appreciated a side plate with utensils rather than chopsticks. When we return, we will enjoy the well-stationed patio.
My wife and I came here for a bite to eat and a pint or two for St. Patrick’s Day. We arrived during Happy-Hour a bit before the dinner rush and while the place was already quite full, there were still a few available tables. We hunkered down for some green beer, of which this location offers a good selection of local breweries on tap (Establishment, Village, Eighty-Eight - among others). We shared a plate of the Mediterranean Dip Trio which was quite tasty, and our entrees included the Royale with Cheese burger and the Sesame Miso Ahi Tuna Salad. Both of those were well received and disappeared pretty quick. Service was really good considering how busy it was. Empty glasses & dishes were cleared promptly and drinks never ran out without being asked if we wanted a refill. The flip side to how busy it was is that it was a little difficult to hold a conversation without raising our voices, which was everyone else’s strategy as it just kept getting louder and louder through our stay. Also it was unfortunate that the table we were at had poor sight lines to any of the TVs so even trying to keep an eye on the hockey game scores proved to be difficult from our vantage point. Overall it was a great meal and service and we would recommend to try it out if you are in the area.
Stopped in for lunch with a pal, was not disappointed. Great menu selection, good mixture of different cuisines. I had the southern fried chicken with jalapeño honey, very tasty. Service is great, server was very attentive and professional. Great atmosphere, really cool restaurant, great setup.
The Blackbird has become one of our favourite local spots. The atmosphere is always great- cozy, welcoming, and the perfect neighbourhood place to relax and hang out. The food is consistently amazing, the drinks are always great, and the service has been excellent every time we’ve gone. We’ve honestly never been disappointed here. We really love having a community spot like this nearby and it’s one of those places we keep coming back to again and again. Excited for more patio season drinks and food!
