Great spot to relax. The cappuccino was really well done—smooth, rich, and nicely balanced with creamy foam. I had it with a fresh, tasty sandwich that paired perfectly. The outdoor seating made it even better—calm, comfortable, and just a nice place to sit back for a bit. I’d definitely come back.

Detour Coffee Roasters never disappoints. The coffee is consistently excellent, whether it’s an espresso, latte, or anything else. Their sourdough with jam is a must-try and my personal favorite. Great location in Dundas with a perfect patio for a summer day.

Needed a great coffee and was not disappointed! My americano was one of the best I have ever had, smooth, with the texture of a hot chocolate. We also enjoyed the the ham and cheese croissants. You really need more seating, we saw a few people just walk in and walk out unfortunately, maybe large shared tables? Definitely will be back the next time we are in Dundas

A family favourite! The cafe is nestled in the Dundas area with both indoor and patio seating. It serves all the regular espresso based drinks along with baked goods, teas and few plated food options. The retail section has freshly baked breads and a selection of their roasted coffee beans. The Power Porridge Bowl is one of the best I've had of its kind and its sweetness level can be customised. I also enjoy their hibiscus elderberry teas in those cold winter days. Detour is a must visit cafe if you are in the area!

Stopped by Detour on my way off work to decompress and I am glad I did. The atmosphere is casual, laid back, and the decor is super calming without being super boring. The rustic chic look combined with a clean warm look provided a great relaxing atmosphere. The service was great, staff was inviting, knowledgeable without being pretentious, and the system of serving the food and drink down to am art and I never feel like I have to watch the baristas like a hawk to not miss my drink like at some other places. Do try their baked goods even if they seem a little unconventional. I tried a buckwheat and chocolate cookie, bracing myself for the worst of buckwheat, but it turned out to be the perfect flavor combination. Try something new at Detour, I'm sure it will pleasantly surprise you.

Nice service, however seats are not enough and need to wait for in the early morning for breakfast. Not really willing to have this happening right at the start of the weekend morning. Happy to see the Hamilton signature sourdough sell in there!

First visit to Detour. Went to pick up beans. Didn't realize they had a whole menu and dine in option. Busy, with limited tables, but a very short wait for seating. Ordered coffee and breakfast. The first bite of sausage in my breakfast sandwich was out of this world. Flavorful and delicious. Only wish it was bigger to fill the sandwich to the edges. All in all, great visit and I look forward to going back!
