I hosted a birthday party for my mom here on Saturday and could not have been more happy with Hard Stones! From when I called about a month ago to book the reservation (for about 40 people) they were kind and accommodating. I later had to change the reservation to around 30 people, which they graciously accepted, they also let me come in a little early to set up a few decorations in their back room area where we were seated. Even though we were a large group, our food came out quickly and mostly at the same time, hot and fresh! An incredible staff and fantastic food. I would return any time and recommend this place to anyone!

This was an amazing restaurant. We were served by Jason, whose level of service was top 5 in my life. All around amazing service. We were 7 and he was on and didn't miss anything. Food was terrific. Everything was fresh and well balanced. Flavors and presentation were on point. Will definitely be back.

We stopped by Hard Stones Grill in Kemptville for a late dinner, arriving just under an hour before closing. We were kindly greeted and directed to the bar, where PHIL, the BAR MANAGER welcomed us with such warmth and sincerity, it instantly set the tone for a relaxed and comfortable evening. The food was truly satisfying: * The salad was fresh and clean—simple and refreshing. * The Baby Back Ribs were lean, tender, and flavorful, grilled exactly how we asked—rib fest quality without a doubt * The baked beans and mac & cheese were both delicious. The beans had a smoky richness, while the mac & cheese was creamy and smooth, striking that gourmet comfort food balance. The restaurant itself is a spacious, well-appointed sports bar with comfortable seating throughout. What also deserves special mention is the pristine condition of the restrooms. Each of the three cubicles was stocked with two rolls of soft, double-ply toilet paper—a small but thoughtful detail that speaks volumes, especially to women who often face frustrating dispensers that tear easily and leave bits of paper scattered on the floor. That level of care is much appreciated. We came for a meal and left with an experience that felt genuinely welcoming. While the food and setting were great, it was PHIL’s warm and personable service that made it more memorable. We stopped in here on a Wednesday afternoon. Service was prompt and very courteous. The place was pretty busy for that time of day. The food was fresh and the portions were perfect. The place feels welcoming and the layout is spacious and can offer privacy at the same time.

We had such an incredible experience celebrating an 80th birthday here for a group of 14! From the moment we arrived, Jason went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. His level of care and attention truly stood out—he was so attentive, kind, and genuinely focused on making sure everyone at our table was happy. A special mention: my son is autistic and needed something to eat right away, and without hesitation, Jason made sure he had something to snack on almost immediately. That level of understanding and responsiveness meant so much to us. This was our second time here since we are from Gatineau, and once again, the food did not disappoint—delicious, generous portions, and consistently high quality. It’s rare to find service that feels this personal and thoughtful. Thank you, Jason, for making our celebration so memorable. We will definitely be back again!

I dined in with four of my friends. The experience was fantastic. I ordered 10 wings and a pulled pork poutine, and it was delicious. Service was fast and friendly.
