Classic diner food! We had the turkey dinner, a hot turkey sandwich, and clam chowder. And the pies… the pies! The gravy for the turkey dinners was flavourful and perfect on the mashed potatoes and turkey. I enjoyed the tartness of the cranberry sauce. Not sweet like the canned versions, it was an excellent contrast to the saltiness of the gravy and turkey. I liked the broccoli as the side. Everything was as great as expected for a well rated restaurant. The chocolate cream pie was perfect. The lemon meringue was extremely flavourful… more lemon flavour than I have ever managed to create in my home versions. I wondered if lemon extract was used to enhance it, and it had a slight gritty texture to the lemon filling. My brother thought it was the best he ever had. Recommended.

Didn't know what to expect here, but overall happy, our female server was pleasant and the food was very good. We told our waitress we were splitting a dish, and they split the food for us, very thoughtful. Great value. Highly recommended.

Prompt service and delicious food. The potato wedges were so good. It’s a pretty cozy restaurant, and was still pretty busy in the late morning going into lunch hour.

Had a great late lunch at the Home. Always tasty. Good size portions. Today tried the beef dip. Lots of flavour. My buddy went for the meatloaf and quite enjoyed it. The server was attentive and personable. Definitely a great stop! Oh and the pie is amazing. Big by itself but a great item to share.

My buddy and I stopped in Merritt while on a motorcycle trip through BC, and happened upon Home. The meatloaf dinner was delicious and the coconut cream pie was incredible, but what really made this meal memorable was Sienna. She took great care of us, despite not saving some apple pie for us. Congratulations on your recent graduation, you're going to do great things!

We had a wonderful experience at Home Restaurant! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm, welcoming, and true to its name — it really does feel like a “home” diner. The food was excellent and freshly prepared. The pancakes were fluffy and delicious, perfectly paired with crispy golden hashbrowns. The breakfast fraser Valley veggie bowl was hearty, packed with fresh veggies, eggs, and just the right amount of seasoning. The fish and chips were also spot on — crispy batter, tender fish, and homemade-style fries with creamy coleslaw. The service was friendly and efficient, and the portions were generous at a fair price. Whether you’re stopping for breakfast, lunch, or just a slice of pie, this is definitely a place worth visiting.
