Had made reservations for dinner as I thought it would have been busy since on Tuesdays and Wednesdays they have a $1 oyster deal. But because the restaurant is so big, there wasn't a need to as we could have walked in. Service was great from the beginning! Was seated right away and water was also provided. Food arrived at a good pace and we were checked up on every so often. Food overall was also good - nothing was jaw-dropping, but we also did order pretty standard dishes. Aesthetically, dishes were presented well too. I had added a note on the reservation that we were celebrating a birthday, but didn't think much of it. But after we paid the bill, they came out with a slice of cheesecake for the birthday person, so that was a great gesture.

Checked out Ryū Izakaya last night and it absolutely nailed it. The vibe was awesome, the food was incredible, and the drinks were spot on. Big shoutout to the staff, too. They were super friendly and made the whole night even better. Definitely coming back here again soon! Highly recommend!

Finally got to try Ryu Izakaya. We’d been wanting to go for a while, so we were really excited to have izakaya for lunch (since they’re usually open in the evening). We were pleasantly surprised by how spacious it is, and the space was super clean with great service. We came right at opening, so the food came out fast and everything was really fresh. The oysters were especially amazing quality. I’d recommend this spot for large groups.

always an amazing experience at Ryu Izakaya! we've been eating here for more than a year and i hope i found this gem sooner. every dish is absolutely delicious and everything we ordered was packed with flavor. i especially loooove the Tebasaki chicken wings, they're perfectly crispy, juicy, and coated in an addictive sweet savory glaze. plus they're filled with gyoza. gahdayum i think about it everyday. the Buck-a-Shuck oysters (now $1.25 for east coast and $1.85 for the west coast) were incredibly fresh and still such an unbeatable deal despite the price increase. it's still worth it imo, as an oyster connoisseur i've never had a bad oyster here. my favorite from our most recent visit was the Mentaiko Shrimp Udon the creamy, rich mentaiko sauce paired so well with the perfectly cooked udon and succulent shrimp. big back pro tip: dip the chicken wings in the leftover mentaiko udon sauce. immaculate. the atmosphere was dim and cozy, service was friendly and attentive, and everything arrived quickly (also, we always get the same server, i hope we get her name next time!) definitely one of my favorite restaurants of all time, i can’t wait to come back to try more from the menu! highly recommend to anyone looking for good eats!

Came here to celebrate my mom's 80th birthday. Julie was the perfect host and server. She was very pleasant, respectful and attentive. The food was delicious. Had the oysters as a pre-appy while Mom enjoyed the corn riblets and chicken karaage!!! We all had udon for our main meal. They were so sweet they brought us a cake to celebrate Mom's birthday.

Great food and service. Our server was very attentive and made sure everything was good. We really enjoyed the hamachi crudo and inari bombs. They were the highlight of the night for us. They weren’t too busy for a Thursday night and the seating a spacious and comfortable. The only thing is if you are seated by the front, it can get chilly as there are kitchen staff who go to the side exit to smoke every so often and the cigarette smell kinda of flows in. That was kind of a bummer especially if you have kids or sensitive to smells but other than that everything was great.

What a great dining experience! This was our first time coming here and we were immediately impressed with the space and ambience. The lighting was perfect, the sounds of conversation etc. were present but nowhere near overwhelming. The service was attentive and the dishes were delicious!! Parking is a bit hit or miss in front of the restaurant but there's definitely spaces avaliable a little farther out. I highly recommend this place and would absolutely visit again!
