Our first time to eat in this korean restaurant and it never dissapoint us.. we like this dak galbi than is shareable by two people.. worth it for the price we paid as it was so good and portions were a bit big for both my husband and I. Would definitely come back and try other dishes

This place has been around for years. Decore and service has remained unchanged. Feels authentic and the restaurant feels a bit dated, but reserves the nostalgia of the Korean restaurants of that time. Food was very very good. The galbi is probably one of the best. Portion was good and the beef was so soft. Seafood pancake was good. Nice crisp outside and good portions of seafood. Tofu soup is well seasoned. I'd go for at least medium spice, but the less spice is not bad for those who cant have spice. Good usual varieties of sides. The portions come reasonable, so I didn't ask for refills. Crispy chicken is probably the only thing slightly lacking. Newer restaurants now have the batter crispier. But it's not bad and well seasoned for the original flavour. Portions are also good. Would come back for the combo A at $49 for LA Galbi and seafood pancake.

It has been a while I didn’t visit this restaurant since 2020. The food taste good as previously. I order the beef , soup. Clod noodle. Sea food pie. Everything is good. Waitress is professional and nice, always check us anything needed. A lot of parking space outside. Need to register your vehicle plate to waive park fee.

I wish they had vegetarian options on the menu instead of you request them to remove meats. Food was not bad, so were the services. They don’t take Amex

Jang Mo Jib is one of those stalwart establishments that seem to have been here since time immemorial, quietly doling out steaming bowls of comfort without seeking applause. It was, in fact, my very first experience of Korean cuisine in Vancouver, and it has remained unwavering in quality ever since. No dramatic ascents or tragic declines, just consistent, honest fare. The staff are exceptionally attentive. One might even say relentlessly so. If being fussed over is your idea of a good time, you’re in for a treat. Every few moments someone will check in to see if you need anything, water, cutlery, emotional validation. They mean well, though at times it borders on theatrical. The space is generous by local standards. Tables are spaced like civilised adults at a dinner party, and unlike much of Metrotown, parking is not a mythical concept here. You can actually leave your car without a blood sacrifice to the urban planning gods. A fine place to bring the family, your hungover self, or anyone who appreciates solid Korean cooking in a place where you won’t be rushed or elbowed. Not revolutionary, but utterly respectable.

i’ve been coming to this restaurant for almost three years now, and it has become such a comforting place with the most comforting food. everything about this restaurant holds such a special place in both my heart and my stomach. the servers are always incredibly friendly, and the food is warm, comforting, and genuinely delicious. my partner and i often come here for late-night dinners, and it always hits. we once came two nights in a row, and one of the servers recognized us and seated us at the same table we had sat at the night before LOL we had the seoltang and mackerel, and they gave me so much warmth. i genuinely feel like my soul gets a little warmer every time i take a bite of their food. please, please, PLEASE never close down!!! i love the food and everyone who works here so much
