By far one of the best restaurants I have ever been to, even compared to restaurants in Toronto. The atmosphere and the decor are beautiful. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable, and the food was nothing short of amazing. Everything we ordered came out fresh and super tasty. I felt like I was in the movie Ratatouille with every bite we took. It is especially great when your family is hungry after skiing all day. I cannot recommend this place enough.

We were so excited to try this spot for date night, and I already had my eye on the scallop and lobster fried rice. When ordering, our server warned me that it was quite spicy—rating it a 5 or 6—which almost made me second-guess my choice. I am so glad I bit the bullet and ordered it anyway! It was incredibly fresh, filling, and delicious. Personally, I would only rate the spice level a 2, so it was perfect for me. My husband ordered the bulgogi braised beef short rib, which was also quite decent. The atmosphere and decor are trendy, and the service throughout the night was great. Our only small complaint—though not a dealbreaker—was regarding the drinks. The alcoholic beverages are a bit pricey, and the soft drinks do not come with free refills. For $4, I received a glass packed with ice that offered maybe five sips of Diet Coke; it didn't even equal a full can.Overall, it was a wonderful date night with fantastic food, and we would definitely come back

Mother Tongue in Blue Mountain is one of the best Asian fusion restaurants we’ve discovered in the area. We came for a late lunch date on a Saturday around 3–5 PM, and it was absolutely perfect. At that hour the restaurant was calm and quiet (we were told evenings get very busy), which made it ideal for a relaxed date. The service was exceptional — the staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and great at recommending dishes. You could clearly tell the team takes pride in the food and the guest experience. The restaurant design is beautiful — an old house with vaulted wooden beams, lots of space, and elegant velvet curved booths. Sitting by the window made the atmosphere even better. Food highlights: • Pickled ginger & Asian cabbage salad – bright, refreshing, and perfectly balanced • Bulgogi short rib – incredibly tender and full of flavour • Pad Thai with house-made tamarind – a unique interpretation that exceeded expectations If you’re visiting Blue Mountain Village and looking for a great Asian fusion restaurant or a date night spot, Mother Tongue is a must-try. Fantastic food, great service, and a beautiful atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back.

Just tried the Toronto location last week and was excited to see this Filipino establishment at Blue Mountain. The Korean Wagyu beef smashburger is a must-try, and adobo fried rice was pretty good! Juicy dumplings were recommended to us and it was a nice addition to the meal. I would’ve liked it to be served with a spoon though because the juices did run, but not really an issue. Finn was our server and he was so nice and personable!

Had such a great experience at Mother Tongue! Cassidy was amazing and made the whole evening even better. The Pretty Lodi drink was so good, and the juicy dumplings were absolutely delicious. Super nice atmosphere and service all around. Can’t wait to come back and try the waterfront patio next time!

It’s an Asian restaurant with a very nice atmosphere and beautiful location. The best part of the restaurant is definitely the outdoor patio seating. The patio faces the lake, and the view is absolutely amazing, especially during good weather. They also have indoor seating if you prefer sitting inside. The servers were polite, friendly, and attentive, and the service was good throughout our visit. The restaurant is a little expensive, but that’s understandable considering it’s located in a tourist area like Blue Mountain. One thing they could improve is adding more umbrellas or shaded areas on the patio. On sunny days, if your table is not under an umbrella, it can get very hot sitting outside. More shade coverage would make the outdoor experience much more comfortable. Overall, it’s a lovely place to enjoy Asian food with a relaxing lakeside view and good service. Worth visiting for the ambiance and patio experience.

Absolutely enjoyed our experience here! We ordered the Adobo Fried Rice, Green Curry Chicken, Sushi and Kalbi Beef, most were recommended by our server Nic. They were all so good. This may now be our go-to spot to eat at the Village.
