Very authentic. Uncle and auntie ran restaurant and you feel the warmth. Probably biggest portion sizes of any Korean restaurant I been to. Best bang for your buck restaurant in Koreatown.

Their stew tastes good! And also recommend to order seafood pancake! The environment looks like mom/grandma kitchen, fee warm and like home vibe! Service is nice and friendly
I absolutely love Sunrise House—it’s a small, but busy place that always takes great care of you. My go-to dish is #43, the spicy squid, and honestly it’s the only meal I ever order because it’s absolutely out of this world every time. The side dishes are amazing too, especially the kimchi and the dried seaweed. Most of all, thank you to Mr. Lief for introducing me to this homey restaurant and for being a great friend to share a meal with.
We came here for dinner and had the best time. I had a kimchi stew with sausages, pork and tofu, and my partner had bibimbap. We also split dumplings and a potato pancake. Everything was amazing. On top of the excellent food, the service was wonderful. We can’t wait to go back!
This place is my comfort zone during the winter. From the moment you walk in, being welcomed with green tea makes you feel so special. The restaurant has a natural, cozy, and slightly rustic vibe, and the staff are always friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind. One of our favorite dishes is the seafood pancakes and stews they’re absolutely delicious. Also, all the appetizers served at the beginning are amazing, and you can order as many as you like, which makes the experience even better. The only thing we noticed is that the tteokbokki, especially the noodle tteokbokki, used to have a richer and more flavorful sauce. It feels like it has changed a bit recently. But overall, everything is still wonderful, and it’s a place we truly enjoy coming back to.
Such a hidden gem! This cozy Korean spot was fully packedand I can totally see why. The food is so good, incredibly authentic, and the prices are great. It seems like a family-run place, and you can really feel the love in every detail, from the cutlery to the cute plates. We ordered both the regular and spicy bulgogi, and honestly, it was one of the best I’ve had in Toronto, hands down.
Absolute gem in the neighborhood! Very mom and pop style home-cooked comfort meals with good portions and fair prices. Staff are also very kind!
Always going to be the best Korean spot I will ever go to for real good comfort food. My sister showed me this place years ago which is now a place I take my friends too. Sweet staff and yummy consistent food everytime. Always a must to get the kimchi fried rice w/ chicken. Soso good, everything really is good to be honest. I can't hype this place enough, these pictures have been from recent and past visits. Everything is always good here
