Great fish and chips, the fries were best I’ve had in a while. Our server was extremely helpful and fun, first time here , and will definitely be back! Their spicy pineapple marg was so good!! I almost never usually finish all my fries, but they were GOOD here!! Natasha, our server was very knowledgeable, fun and helpful!! Definitely would recommend the location!!
Dropped in for Sunday lunch on the patio. It's awesome that it's open (at least that day it was nice enough for it!). I ordered the hot honey pepperoni pizza. I highly recommend. The crust is on the thinner side, but not a "thin crust". I think it's amazing. It's evidently made in-house, and you can tell. The place is fun, and the people are engaging. I had a server named Rene, and she was a highlight. Not pushy or hovering, but always seemed to know when I needed a refill or to just check in. She's funny as hell and made the experience memorable. Overall, I think I will definitely be returning. Rene mentioned some events like dirty bingo and drag brunches that sound like a fun time too!
Enjoyed some patio time with the heaters because there was an event inside. The server was super attentive and made sure we were good while we were out there. Food was amazing! Definitely a great place to stop and enjoy a beer and delicious food.
The Trop is one of my go-to spots, doesn’t matter if it’s day or night, I always have a great time. Tash and Joe are the best and always take such good care of us, which honestly makes a huge difference. The food is so good too. Denise’s chicken tenders are a must, and the chicken club never misses. Good vibes, great service, and consistently a fun time. Definitely recommend!
My partner come here at least once a month to see a live band and it’s always a good time. I hosted a patio party and Sidney and the staff were so accommodating right from the planning to the execution. Everyone had such a great time, and the food was delicious - would book an event here again. Love the Trop!
The Trop…well first off if you are looking for delicious fresh food, (not your regular pub type) then this place will rock your socks off. Real chicken breast in panko crumbs…to die for!!! Pizza is loaded to the max on a light thinner crust and will not disappoint. The management cares about giving the best experience to patrons - the servers are attentive and are always checking in with genuine interest in making sure you’re enjoying your meal and that your drinks are flowing. If you are looking for a venue with top tier live music, The Trop is where it’s at! It’s a quaint and cozy feel with high energy vibes because the entire place turns into a dance floor. As musicians in Calgary, we must say the patrons here are some of the best we’ve ever played for. Joyride will always bring new songs each time to keep the patrons on their feet and singing along all night long! We highly recommend The Trop for a great night out - starting with dinner and then dancing…it’s the perfect place to hang out! We can’t wait to perform there again and party with the patrons!
The Trop features an outdoor patio for dining weather permitting. The indoor dining rooms have a variety of seating options, including bar stools and high-top tables. The corner stage is just big enough for a 4-piece band. This live music venue features some of the best local dance bands. There is a cover charge for the live music. The staff were very friendly and pleasant. The overall vibe was excellent. The crowd was a mix of single and couples. The age group was probably 30- 65 .
