As a Mexa-German couple that have tried various Michelin star restaurants across Mexico and Europe we can say that you can experience an authentic Mexican menu. We had the “menu de degustación”, with the beer + wine maridaje. The lechón and dessert (pepitas acarameladas, Ataúlfo mango and kefir sorbet) were amazing and unique however we found some of the dishes were lacking balance such as the Aguachile (too much lime), chicken and mole (could’ve been improved by choosing other parts of the chicken), and the tamal was dry. We loved the atmosphere and variety of dishes, however for the price, those 3 dishes could’ve been a lot better. If you’re in San Cris it is a good experience to have if you’re willing to spend an abundant amount of money (harsh but true). The service was great but the sommelier lacks knowledge in regards to the international (non-mexican) drinks served. It was a nice experience, but you do end up thinking of it’s worth the price, especially in San Cris where you have very good culinary alternatives for cheaper prices.

This restaurant is undoubtedly one of the finest dining spots in the city and arguably among the best in all of Mexico -a must if you want a culinary experience that takes you through truly local ingredients and dishes in a nice setting. It’s located in a typical, charming colonial house with a variety of seating areas, a sophisticated decor and dim lights in the evening for a refined atmosphere. I particularly liked the area with bookshelves lining an entire wall. The restaurant has both a seasonal menu (a la carte) and a tasting one that comes with different pairing options: aguas frescas, craft beer or wine. To enjoy the latter, you need to budget around 3 hours and 1,900 pesos. I tried the seasonal menu. The mole coleto with prawn was exquisite and I do recommend it. The mole, with its rich combination of cacao, almond, and chile, provided a complex yet harmonious flavour profile that paired wonderfully with the delicate saltiness of the prawns. It could also be prepared with chicken. For those unfamiliar with mole, the dish has a quite unique, intense taste, so I recommend approaching it with an open mind - it’s a bold choice and one that will likely surprise your palate. Coleto means from San Cristobal. My dessert was the classic crème brûlée with orange on top, and it was everything you want in a perfect one: creamy but not heavy with a thin caramelized crunch on top, with the orange bringing freshness and balance. The service is impeccable, and the staff were prompt and courteous. It all left me eager to go back!

Probably the best restaurant I have been to during my visit to Mexico. Great interpretation of the Mexican cuisine with modern touches that will make you feel a superb culinary experience. We ordered the seasonal menu, which is composed of: starters + two main dishes (to choose between 3 options) + dessert. Do not miss the 'Gordita de Chamorro', your would be avoiding the best dish on my opinion. Great service too. 5 stars to chef Marta Cepeda & team

We loved everything about this meal. We had the seasonal menu on Valentines day. Everything was delicious, but the dessert...! It made us melt a little inside . We'll worth a visit if you enjoy fine dining.

Must go place in St. Cristóbal! Martha and her husband gave us great recommendations. They are passionate about food and they care about the qualities!! Every single dishes/drinks are highly unique but all inspired by local history and ingredients. We had breakfast here and came back for lunch on the same day. We have been in many Michelin restaurants in Aisia and Europe. This one is as good as those world class ones! And they won many national awards already!!

An exceptional experience from start to finish. The service was warm and attentive, the ambiance inviting and refined, and every dish showed incredible attention to detail. The ingredients were outstanding, and the menu featured regional specialties I never eaten (you have to try the Chamorro !!) It felt like dining at a Michelin-star restaurant in New York City, but rooted in local ingredients and a strong sense of place. If you’re in San Cristóbal and don’t eat here, you’re missing one of the best restaurants in Mexico.

One of my favorite restaurants in San Cris. Impeccable service and food was creative and delicious. Was my first time to see mixed blue and yellow tortilla. They provided amuse bouche and also gave us shot of pox/posh for free. The pan de muerto was made to order so it was the best I ever had. We also worked here for a bit; wifi was decent when we went. Pleasant and elegant ambience; definitely must-try place while you’re here

The experience at Tierra y Cielo was unique and absolutely worth it. The atmosphere is super cool and relaxing . The staff takes the time to explain every dish, so you know exactly what you’re getting. Before the main course, the restaurant offers a few complimentary bites, which is a really nice touch. The main dish itself was full of flavor and very well presented. There’s strong attention to detail throughout the whole experience. The only small downside was that the food took a little while to arrive, probably because we were a big group, but the overall experience made up for it.
