Nice place to sit just off the main strip with healthy options. A bit on the pricier side. The coconut coffee was really good, smoothie bowls were okay, and the breakfast wrap was over priced and dry. Plus the waiter was bit intense first thing in the morning. Lol
I visited Playa del Carmen this month, and Fresco Habito quickly became my go-to spot every single day. Everything on the menu is fully vegan, and their bowls and smoothies are always fresh, refreshing, and made with natural ingredients. The açaí bowl was definitely my favorite! It’s the perfect place for a rich, creamy breakfast or a light, juicy lunch. They’re open daily until 6 PM, the prices are very reasonable, and the quality is excellent. A special thank you to Carlos and Milena, who were incredibly attentive to my dietary restrictions. As someone who is celiac, lactose intolerant, and allergic to soy and cashews, I felt completely safe eating here, and I never once got sick. I highly recommend this place!
Really fresh and healthy vegan food. I had the couragette sandwich and while I found the bread a bit too thick, the topping were amazing and delicious, especially the hummus. My potatoes were a bit undercooked on the inside, but the rest of the food was great. I also enjoyed the refreshing drinks. Solid choice for healthy vegan food close to the beach!
2 days ....juice, smoothies, grilled spinach and mushroom cheese toast, matcha waffle, fresh cocconut...also Caprese ...delicioso!
My partner and I have been to Playa 4 years in a row now and this is one of our very favourites. Healthy whole vegan food that’s delicious is not always easy to find when we travel, but this place is *it*! The serving sizes are just right too. The team is friendly, quick and courteous. You can’t go wrong eating here. Enjoy! PS When you read “honey” on the menu, it’s *agave* “honey” It’s a 100% vegan restaurant!
Absolutely INSANE menu for vegans and gluten free folks! This is the only the second burrito in all my world travels that I’ve seen with a GF tortilla. Can’t believe I’ve been here for 6 months and this is the first time I’m here! Will be coming back to try more on this expansive menu. Truly a healthy HIDDEN GEM in Playa del Carmen. Creative coffee drinks, delicious Acai and smoothie bowls, juices, friendly staff, even better music! Oh AND homemade almond milk. Staff was so kind and friendly to my rescue dog and was happy to accommodate a swap of ingredient in my Acai bowl. Paid street parking via meter or the MueveCuidad app!
I typically find that breakfast is the hardest meal to find vegan options and when I arrived in Playa Del Carmen without internet access I wandered around for 40 minutes trying to find a breakfast spot. Fresco Habito has an extensive menu. I ordered the bomblette (omelette made from chickpeas) covered in black bean sauce. I returned a couple of days later and had a breakfast burrito. Everything I ate was delicious! The bomblette was the perfect consistency and I liked the bean sauce combined with the spinach filling and the slightly acidic 'cream cheese'. The burrito looked beautiful wrapped in a banana leaf and was packed full of healthy ingredients. The cafe was popular but thankfully I didn't have to wait for a table on either visit. Although it's just a short walk from the main pedestrian street, it was nice to be away from the crowds and noise. This cafe felt much more serene!
This place is amazing for breakfast! The cacao peanut butter bowl and iced coffee drinks were sooo delicious! Also loved the chilaquilles and toast with hummus, cucumber and olives. We went back a second time because we loved this place so much. The mushroom quesadilla is a must if you are a mushroom lover like myself. Great service. Outdoor sitting. Plus the ambience is really nice too. Highly recommend 10/10.
