Stopped by on a rainy day to warm up with some ramen for lunch. It was still early so many open seats and decided to sit by the window. The service was prompt and friendly, adding to the experience. The ramen broth was rich and the noodles were a good firmness, they also had sauces on the side so that you could customize your bowl. Overall it was a nice experience and would recommend to anyone looking for a ramen spot to stop by. If going during peak times I would recommend joining the waitlist or making a reservation.

From the first spoonful, you can tell they put a lot of care into every bowl. The broth is incredibly rich and flavorful without being too heavy, and the noodles have that perfect chewy texture that makes every bite satisfying. The chashu was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and all of the toppings felt thoughtfully balanced rather than just thrown in. Everything tasted fresh, and the quality really stood out. What I also appreciate is the atmosphere. It's cozy, clean, and welcoming, with friendly staff who make you feel looked after without being overbearing. Even when it's busy, the service is efficient, and the food comes out quickly. It's the kind of place I find myself whenever I'm craving a comforting bowl of ramen. There are plenty of good ramen shops in Vancouver, but Maruhachi has earned a permanent spot on my list due to their consistency.

Authentic Japanese ramen store. Delicious ramen. We visited this ramen store in the late afternoon while there were less crowd. The store is not big but well designed so it feels spacious. The staff offered us baskets to put our bags and coats in. That's very convenient. The ramen was delicious. The broth was thick, well flavored and not too salty. The noodle's texture was great not soggy. The pork was tender and juicy. This is the right kind of hot comfort food you want to order at a chilly winter afternoon. By the time we left, the place began to get populated. When we passed the store the next day during lunch hour, there was a line waiting outside the door. We were luck to get in without waiting. This store will be in our pocket list for sure.

A rich, creamy vegetable-based broth layered with umami flavor. Served with tender ramen noodles, crispy tofu, sweet corn, sautéed greens, bamboo shoots, and house-pickled red onions. Finished with chili oil and fresh herbs for a warming, satisfying bowl — completely plant-based and full of depth.

Great ramen at very reasonable prices. The basic ramen comes in a satisfying portion size and is perfect if you’re looking for something simple but comforting. The broth is good, and the noodles have a nice texture. I’d also highly recommend trying the aka ramen, it has a deeper, richer taste and feels especially hearty. Overall, a solid spot for a delicious, affordable meal that doesn’t disappoint

Great ramen and much less crowded than we'd expect for a place with such high ratings. Maybe because we came in on a Monday? Anyways, the broths were delicious and we very much enjoyed the selection of Japanese beer that they offered.
