Came in for some good Ramen and I wasn’t disappointed. I ordered the chicken spicy ramen that comes with pork. The flavor was outstanding; you could tell the broth was cooking for a long time; many depths of flavor. The egg and pork meat greatly complemented the spicy broth and the ramen fresh. Definitely will come over to this gem .

This place is always super busy and has a line up out the front, I got there just after opening at 11 and didn't have to wait which was perfect. I had the Tokyo tonkotsu, serving size is very large, the char su was delicious and meaty, the egg was nice jammy, noodles were perfectly cooked with great bite, only thing that was lacking was some more condiments on the table to customize the soup. Service was very friendly and extremely fast and efficient, pricing was pretty fair too.

First time trying Tokiwa Ramen, and I’ll definitely be back! A friend recommended it, mentioning that they make their soup stock in-house using natural ingredients, so we decided to give it a try. The restaurant was packed—we were lined up outside even before opening—but the wait was absolutely worth it. I ordered the Spicy Miso Chicken Ramen, and it was fantastic. The broth was rich and flavorful, the noodles were cooked perfectly, and the chicken was incredibly tasty. Despite how busy they were, the service was fast and efficient. Overall, a great ramen experience and one of the best bowls I’ve had in the city!

The best ramen in the whole town. Always my favourite spot. Their iced matcha tea is really good as well. But big kudos to the asian server with the glasses and also the owner. She is always greeted us with a smile and kindness. The owner even offered us free chili oil after i said how much i love it.

Beautifully balanced ramen with excellent flavour and just the right heat. A very enjoyable bowl, and absolutely worth returning for. For a fuller picture — Tokiwa Ramen in Edmonton’s Brewery District continues to stand out as one of those places that reflects the strength of the city’s dining scene. The bowls are vibrant and thoughtfully prepared, with broths that are rich yet clean, noodles with great texture, and toppings that complement rather than overpower the soup. The flavour combination was especially enjoyable, with just the right amount of heat and spice to keep each bite interesting without overwhelming the bowl. There was a natural warmth in the room throughout our visit, with a steady flow of diners that ranged from families to couples to friends meeting over dinner. That variety gave the restaurant a lively, well-loved character that suited the food beautifully. Each bowl arrived looking refined and thoughtfully composed. The quality of the ingredients came through clearly, and the balance from broth to toppings suggested real attention in the kitchen. Even with its popularity and frequent wait times, the experience still felt pleasant and well paced. We had actually forgotten to take photos on our first visit, so we came back and were greeted by the witty door signage: “NO SOUP” and “NO MORE SOUP TODAY.” It was a funny little reminder of just how in-demand this place can be — and part of the charm of a ramen spot people clearly make a point of coming back for. A delightful ramen spot in Edmonton, and one we look forward to visiting again.

I absolutely loved my visit to Tokiwa Ramen! The food was incredibly flavorful (just had to get that extra nikumisu) especially the ramen shown in the picture, and the service was outstanding. The atmosphere was also very pleasant and inviting. I can't wait to come back!

I’ve been coming here for years, and the quality has always been consistently excellent. The ramen is packed with flavor, the broth is rich and comforting, and the noodles are always cooked perfectly. The staff are friendly, the service is quick, and the atmosphere is cozy. It’s one of those places I keep coming back to, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for great ramen also good beer & sake options.

I have to say, we finally found a ramen spot here that truly feels like it’s crafted with real broth—no shortcuts, no compromises. We ordered the Tokyo Tonkotsu and the Spicy Goma, and both delivered exactly what you’d hope for from a proper ramen shop. The broth was rich, deep, and full of character. You can immediately tell the difference when it’s made with care and time. The pork chashu was another highlight—perfectly braised, tender, and flavorful without being overly fatty. Honestly, there’s very little to complain about when it comes to the food itself. The only “downside,” if you can call it that, is their limited operating hours. They open at 11am and close at 3pm—or earlier if the soup sells out. Four hours a day does make it a bit challenging to plan a visit. But at the same time, it speaks volumes about their commitment to quality over quantity. We left at 11:36am, and the place was already completely full. That probably tells you everything you need to know—if you want to try it, go early. Definitely worth the effort.
