Dropped by Cafe Polonez for a late weekend lunch. It was packed, but the turnaround was faster than we expected. We only had to wait about 30 minutes before being seated. The food was great. We had the Combo Platter 1, the daily special soup, and the potato pancakes. Portions are definitely generous! It can get a little loud and cramped when they're busy, but the meal is worth it. Will definitely be back.

My Polish father-in-law wanted to go for lunch and we thought it would be nice to try Cafe Polonez. Sure, he can eat Polish food at home but it's always a treat to have someone else cook. Our normal lunch location with him is Mandarin. But we did not want to overeat...again. Cafe Polonez options were many. The plates were full. Prices were fair...in our opinion. Two of us are vegetarian and the FIL is not. So we lucked out as there were many vegetarian options on the menu. Overall the food was delicious. My only issue was that everything I ate was oily. I was informed this is normal. Alright then. I highly recommend this place for homestyle Polish food. You definitely experience the real taste of Polish fare. We enjoyed pork schnitzel, potato pancakes, mushroom and sauerkraut perogi, and mushroom and sauerkraut cabbage rolls. Yum yum. Dziękuję

Nice dining room, just quite noisy, not sure if that caused by the noise can easily bounce within the dining room, happy with very well cleaned restroom. Sevice is good, very attentive. Beef goulash soup is delicious, Pierogi stuffed with meat is also nice. Food portion is big as well.

This place is a must. They are usually busy, but it's worth the wait. Authentic Polish food, fresh ingredients, great seasoning, good balance between meat and vegetables, and the portions are huge. The service was fast and friendly. I'm definitely coming back.

Before visiting High Park for cherry blossom, we went for lunch at this small Polish shop. The interior is simple, with no pressure—an easy, comfortable place to eat. The menu doesn’t feel too different from typical Eastern European restaurants: mostly dumplings and borscht (beetroot soup). A staff member recommended a Polish Platter for us, and we also added a cabbage roll. If you’re in Downtown, it’s definitely worth trying.

Ordered PLATTER for 2($68) and the platter came with 2 cabbage rolls, 6 pierogi, 2 schnitzel, and braised sauerkraut, red cabbage, carrots and coleslaw. For pierogies we picked 3 each of cheddar & potato as well as sauerkraut & mushrooms. Was impressed by solid pierogies with amazing dough! Also loved all the veggies that came with this platter. This platter was big enough for three people!

One of my favorite restaurants in the city. Only downside is that it is far from my house. Really tender and buttery schnitzel and pierogis that are generously stuffed with potatoes. The most tender cabbage rolls that are full of flavor. You can’t go wrong with any of them. I would recommend this place to anyone that likes good food.

If you’ve never experienced Polish Food, this place is a must! Purely authentic, fresh ingredients, tasty seasoning and individual cooking methods for each dish leads to a delicious plate every time. The surprise this time was their tripe soup. Oh my…it was divine!! There was no organy/gamey taste, just melt in your mouth deliciousness! The cabbage roll was good too although a bit cold. I forgot what the other dishes name was but also very good, FYI they say stewed sauerkraut with pork (turns out it doesn’t look stewed at all). Didn’t matter it was yummy in the tummy! The tables are a tight squeeze. The volume in there can get a bit loud.
